On Sunday, May 31, 2026, Prof. Dr. Salah Babakr, Principal of Raparin Technical and Vocational Institute, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Payman Ahmad, President of Raparin University, Mr. Shaho Shahid Mala Najm, General Manager of Raparin Investment, and Mr. Haji Khalid, Executive Manager of Rawez Company, welcomed His Excellency Dr. Aram Muhammad Amin, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Amanj Saeed, Advisor to the Ministry.

During the meeting, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education highly valued the importance of vocational education and enriching the job market with skilled human resources, and stated:

“This model of education is a new, modern, and effective model of the Ministry for advancing the higher education sector and providing real employment opportunities for graduates in the job market.”

He also praised the key and effective role of Raparin Technical and Vocational Institute in this field.

During this same visit, a comprehensive discussion was held on several important academic and administrative topics, with the aim of further advancing the process of higher education and scientific research in the region.

In a highly sporting atmosphere, the final match of the football tournament of Raparin Technical and Vocational Institute (RTVI) was held between the two teams (Rojawa) and (Pharmacy – Stage 1, Group A).

After an intense competition and the presentation of an exceptional level of play, the match ended with a result of (4 – 1) in favor of Rojawa team, making them the unrivaled champions of this season’s tournament.

At the end, by the respected institute principal and the administrative and academic staff, trophies and the championship cup were presented to the first and second place teams. Special awards and recognition were also given to the players who shined throughout the tournament and delivered a distinguished level of performance:

โœ“ Blood Donation Campaign

Starting at 9:00 AM, in front of Ranya Advisory (Istishari) Hospital, a blood donation campaign was launched. The purpose of this campaign was to advocate for:

  • Restarting the appointment process for nursing graduates
  • Presenting several other legitimate demands of nurses

โœ“ Scientific Seminar

At 11:00 AM, in the (Sheikh Fakher Sheikh Tayeb) Hall inside the institute, the ceremony continued:

  • A welcoming speech was presented by Asst. Instructor Danyar Hamid, Head of the Nursing Department at the institute
  • Subsequently, a scientific and professional seminar was presented by His Excellency (Khalid Rasul), Head of the Raparin Branch of the Union, about the importance of the nursing profession

โœ“ Health Services for Citizens

At the conclusion of the activities, at 2:00 PM, in Ranya Public Park, institute students, accompanied by instructors and union representatives, conducted several screenings for citizens, including:

On the occasion of May 1st, International Workers’ Day, we extend our warmest and most beautiful congratulations to all workers of Kurdistan, especially the tireless environmental workers.

As a tribute to the duty and hard work of this struggling class, a group of pharmacy department students from our institute, in coordination with the Raparin Region Environmental Protection Directorate, carried out an extensive cleaning campaign at tourist sites.

This activity, which included protecting the environment of Galazarda Mountain, had the main objective of reducing part of the burden on environmental workers and spreading the culture of protecting our homeland’s nature. We hope this step will be an encouragement for everyone to together provide a healthier and cleaner environment.
